NCAA punches GU’s ticket
The Gonzaga University Bulldogs are packing their bags for Denver and the first round of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
• The matchup: GU is seeded No. 11 in the Southeast Region, where it will meet No. 6 St. John’s on Thursday at the Pepsi Center.
• The coaches: Mark Few (pictured) of Gonzaga and Steve Lavin of St. John’s.
• Road to NCAA: GU (24-9) won the West Coast Conference tournament; St. John’s (21-11) is an at-large pick from the Big East.
