COMSTOCK – The Spokane Holistic Chamber of Commerce will have an “All Things Holistic” Mind, Body and Spirit Fair on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Unity Church, 2900 S. Bernard St.

Camp Fire holds Incredible Kid Day

SPOKANE COUNTY – Camp Fire USA’s 15th annual Absolutely Incredible Kid Day is today. The day is meant as a national call to action, urging adults to write letters of love and appreciation to children in our community.

Tell a child how much you care, write a letter.

Toastmasters event planned

SOUTHGATE – Toastmasters International will host “A Night Out with Toastmasters” at Round Table Pizza, 4510 S. Regal St., on March 24 at 5 p.m.

The evening will include an opportunity to learn how to speak off the top of your head and hear speeches from other Toastmasters.

Event will benefit teen parents

EAST CENTRAL – Gibliano Brothers and Longhorn Barbecue will host “Micros for Mamas” on March 25 at New Community Church, 1003 E. Trent Ave., at 6 p.m.

The event is a beer tasting and silent auction to benefit Spokane Young Lives and will include beer samples from local breweries, such as Northern Lights, Laughing Dog, Ironhorse and Golden Hills, along with a commemorative glass. Guests will also receive dinner by Longhorn Barbecue, enjoy live entertainment by Gibliano Brothers and bid on a variety of silent auction items.

Tickets are $25 per person. Spokane Young Lives is a nonprofit that mentors and supports teen parents and their children.

Kids Got Talent seeks contestants

SPOKANE COUNTY – Area children who are athletic, can sing, dance, act, or are musically gifted will have an opportunity to share their talent in the “Kids Got Talent ’11” competition.

The event is for kids of all ages and will give them a chance to showcase their ability, dedication and hard work. Prizes and scholarships will be awarded.

First auditions must be sent in via DVD to 505 W. Riverside Ave., Suite 205, Spokane, WA 99201, or uploaded to the website, www.spokanekids gottalent.com. Final competition will be May 14.
