Woman killed Saturday on Interstate 90

A pedestrian died Saturday night after being struck by a car on eastbound Interstate 90 just west of the Washington-Idaho state line. The woman, whose name has not been released, was standing in the right lane of the freeway when she was hit by an eastbound 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser driven by Nancy Webster of Post Falls, the Washington State Patrol said. Webster, 54, was not injured. The incident, which happened five miles east of Liberty Lake shortly after 10 p.m., remains under investigation today, WSP said.
