A woman who died after being struck by a car on Interstate 90 on Saturday has been identified as Dana M. Barton, 37, of Coeur d’Alene.
Barton was standing in the right lane of eastbound I-90 when she was hit by a 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser driven by Nancy Webster, of Post Falls, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Webster, 54, was not injured. Barton was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was released this afternoon after the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office notified her family of her death, WSP said.
The crash occurred at milepost 299 just west of the Washington-Idaho state line and about two miles east of Liberty Lake. It remains under investigation.
