Religion Notebook: Church readies for marimba music
One Peace, Many Paths will present the Wildwood Marimba Band Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St.
The concert, “Lil Twig and the Old Growths” will include marimba music, Native American flute, peace videos and storytelling.
The suggested donation is $10 for adults, $5 for children 5 and older or $20 for the family.

Buddhist service
The Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St., will present Rev. Don Castro from the Seattle Betsuin Sunday at 3 p.m.
Castro will give the Dharma talk during the service.
The temple will also offer Dharma School for students in kindergarten through the ninth grade.

Lenten events
• Central Baptist Church, 19 W. Shannon Ave., will present soup and bread dinners every Wednesday during Lent at 6 p.m. through April 13.
There will be a short testimony, “Blessings,” each evening of the supper.

Spiritual movie
The Center for Spiritual Living, 2825 E. 33rd Ave., will present the film, “For the Next 7 Generations: 13 Indigenous Grandmothers Weaving a World that Works,” Sunday at 6 p.m.
The film is based on the Iroquois idea that any decision made must be based on the impact felt by the next seven generations.

Book sale
First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar St., will present a two-day Colossal Book Sale Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Items up for sale include best-sellers, fiction, paperbacks, children’s books, inspirational books, cookbooks, biblical books and more.
The proceeds will benefit the church’s adult and children’s libraries and its local and foreign ministries.
