Whitworth men break school swimming record

 

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Whitworth men’s 400-yard medley relay team broke the school record at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday night.

Kalen Darling, Rory Buck, Aaron Vaccaro and Michael Woodward finished in 3 minutes, 21.48 seconds to place 11th in the 400 medley relay. That also broke the Northwest Conference record.

Darling was Whitworth’s only individual scorer on Thursday night. He took 16th place in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:07.26. He had posted a season-best 4:00.09 in the morning preliminary heats.
