Where are Mideast fliers?

Libya’s Gadhafi came to power in a coup and has maintained it through rigid control of the army for decades. Everyone knows that he is a brutal dictator who savages his people if they dare to protest.

The U.N. dithers and debates endlessly. Now the Arab League has voted in favor of a “no fly zone.” Whoopee! Such bold action?! Egypt, Jordan and Iran all have fighter jets with well-trained pilots. Other Gulf countries have them as well. Why don’t they get off their duffs and do the “no fly zone” themselves and help wrest control from a bloody dictator next door?

Neither the USA or Europe should have to risk personnel or aircraft in the Middle East when the Gulf countries should do it for themselves.
