New faces

Bob Shamberg has been hired as an agent for Windermere Coeur d’Alene Realty. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in elementary administration and has been a professional educator for 34 years. The company also hired Greg Washington as an agent. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Montana and has served as the president of Courtyard Construction since 2003.

Dingus, Zarecor and Associates PLLC has hired Adam Clark as a staff accountant. He holds a bachelor’s degree in professional accounting and finance from Eastern Washington University.

Medication Review has hired Mandi Mafera as a clinical pharmacist for the company’s telepharmacy group. She graduated from the University of Montana, College of Pharmacy and previously worked as a clinical pharmacist for Providence Holy Family Hospital. The company also hired Jennifer Baudino as an executive administrative assistant. She previously worked for Coulee Medical Center’s health information management department in Grand Coulee, Wash., and holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Ashford University.

The Washington Small Business Development Center has hired Vern Jenkins as a trade specialist to work for the organization’s export readiness center in Spokane. He has more than 15 years of international business experience and previously served as founder and CEO of Scentia International Inc. and served as CEO of Horizon International Consulting Ltd. He holds a master’s degree in international management from Whitworth University.

Dr. Mike Chaffee has been installed as president of the Texas Orthodontic Study Club. Dr. Chaffee is a board certified orthodontist and operates Riverstone Orthodontics in Coeur d’Alene.

Brian Hubbell, of The Hubbell Financial Group in Spokane, received the 2011 Western Region Managing Partner Leader Award from Northwestern Mutual for outstanding performance.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VIII presented Eastern Washington University with three Silver and four Gold awards for institutional excellence in marketing and communications.

Larson Hicks of Stereopathic Music received the March 2011 Palouse Region STAR Award from Palouse Marketing Committee, for the organization’s Bird on a Wire folk festival.

Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital named Dick Boysen Advocate of the Year, for his commitment to making in a difference in the lives of children in the Spokane community. Boysen is executive director of the Spokane Guilds’ School and Neuromuscular Center.

Attorney Paul Mack received a Local Hero Award from the Washington State Bar Association for dedication to pro bono work. Mack runs his own law practice in downtown Spokane.

The 2011 Idaho Governor’s Award for Excellence in Agriculture in the Technical Innovation Category was presented to Hillco Technologies of Nezperce, Idaho.
