Bargaining limits misstated

Please, please, people, before you denigrate, mud-sling and defame a person, get your facts straight. Someone might believe you.

Spokane City Councilwoman Nancy McLaughlin and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker do not advocate taking the bargaining rights of union members regarding working conditions or wages. Costs of medical, retirement and seniority are the only bargaining these people want to change. These are the major causes governments at all levels are either broke or going broke.

My “thanks” to these two people and others like them that understand the financial situation and grasp the big picture. Thanks for looking out for the entire citizenry of the city. If the policy passes, I’m sure the union members that lose their jobs and those of us that have to pay more taxes will be jumping with joy, yeah, sure. If everyone would just open their minds, education might, just might, slip in. I thank you.
