School administrators protected
It is amazing to me how the school board for Spokane School District 81 is proposing to increase classroom occupancy and let go teachers when they recently, within eight months, raised the salary of the administrative staff, which means some of the admin staff make more than $100,000 and as much as $225,000.
Am I the only person who believes this screams of fiscal malfeasance? We continue to read information about the dropout rate for SD 81. Do they, the school board and administrators, believe that by increasing the number of students in the classroom it will decrease the number of students who drop out? This latest act by the school board supports my thoughts that they are not listening to the public or the teachers. Maybe it is time for a change of leadership on the school board. You think?
