Clouds, showers return through weekend
Clouds and scattered showers return to the Inland Northwest today after a one-day break on Wednesday in what’s been a cool and wet spring.
Temperatures should remain mild, however, with a high of 61 in downtown Spokane and 60 in Coeur d’Alene.
A 50 percent chance of showers arrives this afternoon with a weak cold front and push of colder air in the upper atmosphere.
Winds behind the front could gust to 22 mph in Spokane.
Shower chances diminish tonight and Friday before returning on Friday night through Sunday.

Temperatures are going to remain relatively mild with highs near 60 through Saturday and about 55 on Sunday. Lows should be near 40.
Forecasters said there is a chance for even milder weather by next week. Computer forecast models are showing a shift in the weather pattern to a more southerly flow.
Highs by Tuesday and Wednesday could reach the middle 60s under partly sunny skies.
At 7 a.m., it was 42 at Spokane International Airport, 41 at Felts Field, 40 at Deer Park and 47 in Pullman.
