Rockin’ Art on Friday will benefit schools

A little art and a little rock ’n’ roll are on tap for Spokane Public Schools Foundation’s major fundraiser Friday.

The Rockin’ Art silent auction and dance will feature works by Ken Spiering, Harold Balazs, Spokane Public Schools teachers and students, said Kristy Mylroie, a district spokeswoman. The 8 Tracks will provide the live dance music.

A suggested minimum donation of $10 pays for the entertainment, snack and beverages as well as a chance to participate in the silent auction, Mylroie said.

The fundraiser is 7 to 10 p.m. at the Lincoln Center, 1316 N. Lincoln St. Tickets are available at the door or by contacting Jessie Bekken at (509) 999-0405 or mjbekken@netscape.net.
