A little recycling help, please
Spokane needs a better recycling program. We don’t have hardly any recycling bins in public places. Apart from at our homes and at my school, there is no place to dispose things like plastic bottles or newspapers.
Most of the time you drink sodas, you are away from your house, so public places should have the majority of recycling bins.
On a recent trip to Seattle, I noticed recycling cans everywhere. As big as regular garbage cans, they were scattered everywhere: parks, museums and even at the zoo. You can’t expect people to recycle if they have to hang on to empty bottles until they get home. If we just put a few bins at places like the mall or fast food restaurants, maybe it would make a difference.
