MacKenzie pizza planned on 57th

Glacier Restaurant Group announced it will build a second MacKenzie River Pizza location at the corner of 57th and Regal, in Spokane.

The Hamilton, Mont.-based restaurant company last year announced it would build its first pizza location, at Nevada and Jay streets in north Spokane. That store is due to open in June.

The new location is expected to open this fall. A company spokesman said it will employ about 70 workers. It will fill the former site of Hollywood Video.

Company Chief Operating Officer Brad Ridgeway said the chain selected the Moran Prairie area for its second MacKenzie site because of retail mix and growing population.

Disney posts lower net income

LOS ANGELES – The Walt Disney Co. on Tuesday reported lower-than-expected net income and revenue for the second quarter.

Revenue at the company’s parks and resorts improved, but costs to launch the Disney Dream cruise ship in January, the Japan quake in March and the shift of the Easter holiday to later in April hurt the division’s profits.

Net income for the three months ended April 2 fell to $942 milllion, or 49 cents per share, from $953 million, or 48 cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue grew 6 percent to $9.08 billion from $8.58 billion a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet were looking for earnings of 57 cents per share on $9.12 billion in revenue.
