Return on investment

In response to Mr. Crick’s letter (May 8) who says “… Those 400 richest individuals in America worked very hard to acquire that kind of money,” and then goes on to say, “Why should the poorest 150 million be given a gift from the wealthy?”

Did it ever occur to Mr. Crick that those 400 richest individuals acquired that kind of wealth because of the 150 million that broke their back so those 400 rich could get richer?

Here’s a quote for Mr. Crick to ponder: “Ten men in our country could buy the whole world and 10 million can’t buy enough to eat” (Will Rogers, 1932).
