Two killed by boulder on highway near Lewiston
LEWISTON — Idaho State Police say two people were killed when the car in which they were riding collided with a boulder that rolled onto Highway 12 near Lewiston.
The 20-year-old driver was not injured in the Monday afternoon accident.
Police say the boulder rolled off a hillside and hit the passenger side of the 1990 Jeep Cherokee, causing it to roll over on the shoulder.
The two passengers were declared dead at the scene — 22-year-old Isaac Wilson and 23-year-old Joseph Wilson, both of Lapwai.
