In brief: City staff will be on hand at bike, pedestrian plan event

SPOKANE VALLEY – The community is invited to get an update on the Bike and Pedestrian Master Program and learn about plans for bike and pedestrian facilities in Spokane Valley.

The meeting will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Central Valley School District administration building at 19307 E. Cataldo Ave. City staff will be on hand to discuss the plan and get information from the public on what should be added to the plan. Call Mike Basinger at (509) 720-5331 for more information.

Chamber will celebrate nine decades of service

SPOKANE VALLEY – The Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its 90th anniversary on Wednesday at the Mirabeau Park Hotel, 1100 N. Sullivan Road, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Founder’s Day Celebration will include hors d’oeuvres and no-host beverages, while hosts and attendees look back over past decades of events of the Spokane Valley and the surrounding area, along with Valley Chamber memories.

Cost is $10 per person.

Power Women’s Summit to be held at Mirabeau hotel

SPOKANE VALLEY – The fourth annual Power Women’s Summit will be at the Mirabeau Park Hotel, 1100 N. Sullivan Road, on June 8, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event will feature workshops and keynote speaker Diane Holmstrom, president and CEO of World FXIQ. Holmstrom will share tips on personal success from her career in marketing strategies for technology companies in “Venturing Out.”
