In brief: Horizon PTA hosting 3-on-3 basketball
SPOKANE VALLEY – The Horizon Middle School PTA in the Central Valley School District will present “Hoops Over the Horizon,” a three-on-three basketball tournament, June 4 from 8 a.m. to about 5 p.m. for kids in third through 12th grades.
The event is a fundraiser to buy weight and exercise equipment for the school. The tournament will be in the University High School west parking lot, 12420 E. 32nd Ave.

CVHS holding all-alumni picnic
LIBERTY LAKE – The Central Valley High School All-Class, All-Year Alumni Picnic will be July 24 at Pavillion Park.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., CV graduates can visit with former classmates and meet other CV alumni, young and old. Attendees are asked to bring their own picnic lunches.

Hear country-style gospel music
SPOKANE VALLEY – Intersection Church, 905 N. McDonald Road, will host a community concert of country-style gospel music at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The concert will feature Ron and Opal Erickson, previous winners of the International Country Gospel Music Association’s Duo of the Year award. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
VERADALE – The Spokane Valley community is invited to a garage sale and kids carnival on June 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Eastpoint Church, 15303 E. Sprague Ave.
Proceeds will benefit Inland NW Baby and Eastpoint’s Single Parents Pantry.
