No nursery rhyme piggy

I just want to say that I completely agree with Barbara Arenal (Letters, May 19) regarding the pig story and the headline. Unlike Barbara, I believe the police officer did try to taser the animal but that was unsuccessful so he had no choice but to mortally wound it.

This was not a little piggy, this was a humongous animal. But the headline was atrocious, inhumane, and just plain crude. Is this really how you want your newspaper portrayed? The person who gave approval should be ashamed.
