Online votes could move up Oscar show

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences plans to change its voting system to allow members to make their picks electronically, rather than through mailed ballots.
That could result in an earlier Oscar ceremony. The show usually takes place in late February.

Sony Pictures has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the movie, which will begin filming late this summer. A release is set for the fourth quarter of 2012.

The remake of a 1991 Hong Kong movie by the same name follows a sexually frustrated Chinese scholar who loses his way in the harem of a duke he befriends.
The cast includes Japanese porn stars Hara Saori and Suo Yukiko and Hong Kong actress Vonnie Liu.
