Wellpinit man dies in rollover accident

A Wellpinit man died after an accident Saturday about 4:30 p.m. on Ford Wellpinit Road, just west of Martha Boardman Road. Cary Alvin Abrahamson, 39, was eastbound in a Chevrolet Camaro on Ford Wellpinit Road when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and drove off the road to the right, according to a Washington State Patrol news release. He then struck a rock and rolled down an embankment, striking two trees before being ejected from the vehicle. Authorities say he died at the scene and attributed the accident to inattention. Abrahamson was not wearing a seatbelt, the news release said.
