Palestinians untrustworthy

In the days leading to World War II, Czechoslovakia was carved up while the nations of the world stood by and watched. It did not bring peace.

President Barack Obama’s scheme to carve up Israel will not bring peace either, because appeasement is a failed policy. Giving away land in return for Palestinian promises of peace has been tried too many times. The Palestinians have proved that their promises of peace are absolutely worthless.

The Palestinians were given their own state in 1947. They rejected it and went to war to claim all of Israel for themselves. Sixty-four years later they are still fighting the same war. They do not recognize Israel’s right to exist.

Article 12 of the Palestinian constitution calls for destruction of Israel. Article 19 calls for the use of terrorism to achieve their goal. Obama’s partner for Middle East peace, Hamas, openly calls for the murder of Jews in Article 7 of its charter.

The Palestinians have been playing a double game against America for years, taking our taxpayer dollars in exchange for worthless promises. Does Obama really expect things to turn out differently this time? This is a foreign-policy train wreck in slow motion.
