Rush ‘gets’ neighborhoods

I’ve known and worked with Richard Rush for many years, and am writing to recommend him for another term as Spokane councilman.

Richard’s commitment to our community is unparalleled, and he has shown that by being the former head of the Cliff-Cannon Neighborhood and by being involved with issues that have promoted the quality of life for everyone in Spokane.

He is dedicated to implementing the visionary Comprehensive Plan, which neighborhoods throughout Spokane developed and endorsed as a blueprint for making Spokane a prosperous, healthy and beautiful city for everyone.

Mike Allen was installed as a councilman despite barely having any involvement with the neighborhoods he was representing. His lack of understanding for neighborhood issues showed by allowing big-box stores to be built in the Southgate neighborhood, which was already dealing with traffic problems on South Regal. That neighborhood’s wishes were disregarded by his decision, allowing traffic problems and overdevelopment in that area to worsen.

You may choose Richard Rush, who will enhance Spokane’s economic health and quality of life. Or you can choose someone who is still using yesterday’s solutions that just don’t work. The right vote for Spokane’s future is Rush.
