Another 3-3 week vs. the spread. If this keeps up, I’ll only finish 16 games over .500. Thank goodness for the NCAA rule about two-point conversions after the second overtime. Made my week. As always, the listed line is for your entertainment purposes only. All games Saturday unless noted. USC at Colorado (USC by 21.5), Friday: It was snowing in Boulder Tuesday. And it should be ice cold tomorrow night. Still … USC, 28-3. Stanford at Oregon State (Stanford by 21): The smart money says Stanford is looking ahead to Oregon. I’ve never been smart. Stanford, 42-17. Utah at Arizona (Arizona by 3.5): Will the Utes hold on to the ball? No. Arizona, 24-17. Arizona State at UCLA (ASU by 9.5): The Bruins are a much better team at home. The Sun Devils are the much better team here. ASU, 35-24. Oregon at Washington (Oregon by 16): You would think the Ducks would play more inspired football this week. But Stanford looms next Saturday. Oregon, 49-35. Washington State at California (Cal by 9.5): The Cougars have been away from Martin Stadium so much this season, their home jerseys turned gray. The long road swing ends one week too late. Cal, 24-21. Last week: 4-2 overall, 3-3 vs. spread; Season: 52-13 overall, 37-21 vs. spread.
