Arizona quarterback Kevin Kolb is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams at Glendale, Ariz.

That means second-year pro John Skelton probably will start in Kolb’s place.

Kolb did not practice all week because of a turf toe injury that occurred early in last Sunday’s 30-27 loss at Baltimore. Kolb stayed in the game but was in a walking boot afterward. He was out of the boot on Wednesday but could not practice. The injury is to his right foot, the foot he uses to plant and supply most of the velocity when he passes.

St. Louis quarterback Sam Bradford was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday.

Bradford, who has missed two games with a high left ankle sprain, worked in 7-on-7 drills as well as doing some individual work.

“He’s as questionable as you can be,” Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said. “We’ll take it one day at a time and see where we’re at on Sunday.”

Texans’ Johnson out again

Houston Texans star receiver Andre Johnson will sit out Sunday’s game against Cleveland as he continues to nurse a right hamstring injury.

Johnson, who will miss his fifth straight game, was injured in the Texans’ 17-10 win over Pittsburgh in Week 4.

Johnson sat out practice all week, though he stretched and ran on a separate field Friday. Houston coach Gary Kubiak said Johnson went through a hard workout on Monday, then had soreness on Tuesday that raised concern.

Bush on spot for Raiders

Oakland Raiders star running back Darren McFadden will not play Sunday against Denver because of a sprained right foot.

McFadden has been one of the top backs in the league this season with 614 yards rushing and 19 receptions. The Raiders will turn to Michael Bush and rookie Taiwan Jones from Eastern Washington to make up for his absence.

Bush ran for 99 yards on 17 carries in Oakland’s most recent game against Kansas City two weeks ago after McFadden left with the injury in the first quarter.

No surgery for Bradshaw

New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw does not need surgery to repair a broken bone in his right foot.

Coach Tom Coughlin updated Bradshaw’s condition after the five-year veteran missed his third straight practice and is doubtful for Sunday’s game in New England against the Patriots.

Weekly fines doled out

Four players were fined $15,000 each by the NFL on Wednesday for actions in last weekend’s games.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark was fined for unnecessary roughness. Clark hit Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski late and out of bounds during Pittsburgh’s 25-17 victory over New England last Sunday.

Another safety, Antrell Rolle of the New York Giants, was docked for making a horse-collar tackle on Miami’s Reggie Bush at the end of a 35-yard run in the second quarter. He was penalized on the play.

San Francisco defensive end Justin Smith roughed quarterback Colt McCoy of Cleveland and it cost him $15,000. He struck McCoy in the head and neck area.

Rams linebacker Bryan Kehl got his $15,000 fine for unnecessary roughness against New Orleans. He was penalized 15 yards after running into punt returner Darren Sproles in the fourth quarter of St. Louis’ 31-21 victory.
