East Valley school theater presents ‘Mixed Nuts’

Play follows writer to NYC where he finds unpredictable neighbors house

The East Valley High School drama department will present the play, “Mixed Nuts,” today, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at the school theater, 15711 E. Wellesley Ave.

The play is about an aspiring writer, Michael Caldwell, from the Midwest who moves to New York to find fame and fortune. What he finds is a group of unpredictable neighbors in his apartment house.

Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for senior citizens, free for veterans and students with an ASB card, or $3 for students without an ASB card.

The cast includes Stefani Knapp as Edna, Jesse Johnson as Michael Caldwell, Ted Wilson as Marshall Ryan, Stephanie Albertson as Mrs. Caldwell, Summer Romney as Tonya Romanov, Shantewa Jolstead as Philomena Del Vecchia, Nathan Jolstead as Mike and Anastasia Larkin as Heather.

The crew includes lighting technician Rebeka Turner, sound technician Jack Fay, and the stage crew of Madisyn Benge, Rachel Loe, Abigail Mills and Shelby Weekly.

They are directed by teacher Don Krueger.
