Top 25: Kansas State beat Texas A&M in four OTs

Collin Klein scored on a sneak in the fourth overtime Saturday night, his sixth touchdown of the game, giving No. 17 Kansas State a dramatic 53-50 victory over Texas A&M in Manhattan, Kan.

Klein threw for a career-high 281 yards and added 103 yards on the ground for the Wildcats (8-2, 5-2 Big 12), who rallied from a 10-point deficit in the final 6 minutes of regulation to hand the Aggies (5-5, 3-4) their third consecutive loss.

(1) LSU 42, Western Kentucky 9: Alfred Blue and Kenny Hilliard each scored two TDs, and the Tigers (10-0) overcame a slow start to defeat the Hilltoppers (5-5) in Baton Rouge, La.

(2) Oklahoma State 66, Texas Tech 6: Brandon Weeden threw for 423 yards and five TDs and Joseph Randle ran for three scores to lead the Cowboys (10-0, 7-0 Big 12) over the Red Raiders (5-5, 2-5) in Lubbock, Texas. Oklahoma State is 10-0 for the first time in school history.

(4) Alabama 24, Mississippi State 7: Trent Richardson rushed for 127 yards and a TD, Alabama’s defense gave up just 131 total yards and the Crimson Tide (9-1, 6-1 SEC) beat the Bulldogs (5-5, 1-5) in Starkville, Miss.

(8) Arkansas 49, Tennessee 7: Running back Dennis Johnson accounted for 140 total yards and a pair of TDs to help the Razorbacks (9-1, 5-1 SEC) rout the Volunteers (4-6, 0-6) in Fayetteville, Ark.

(9) Clemson 31, Wake Forest 28: Chandler Catanzaro kicked a 43-yard field goal as time expired and the Tigers (9-1, 6-1 ACC) rallied from 14 points down in the second half to defeat the Demon Deacons (5-5, 4-3) in Clemson, S.C., and clinch the Atlantic Division title.

(13) Michigan State 37, Iowa 21: Kirk Cousins threw for 260 yards and three TDs and the Spartans (8-2, 5-1 Big Ten) beat the Hawkeyes (6-4, 3-3) in Iowa City, Iowa, for the first time in eight tries.

(14) Georgia 45, (24) Auburn 7: Aaron Murray threw four TD passes to surpass Matthew Stafford’s school season record of 25 and the Bulldogs (8-2, 6-1 SEC) stomped the Tigers (6-4, 3-1) in Athens, Ga., by the biggest margin in the series since 1946.

(15) South Carolina 17, Florida 12: Quarterback Connor Shaw ran for 88 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Gamecocks (8-2, 6-2 SEC) over the Gators (5-5, 3-5) in Columbia, S.C.

(16) Wisconsin 42, Minnesota 13: Montee Ball broke the Big Ten’s single-season TD record with his 27th and the Badgers (8-2, 4-2 Big Ten) trampled the Golden Gophers (2-8, 1-5) in Minneapolis.

Missouri 17, (21) Texas 5: Kendial Lawrence rushed for 106 yards and a TD and the Tigers (5-5, 3-4 Big 12) kept the Longhorns (6-3, 3-3) out of the end zone for the first time since 2004 with a victory in Columbia, Mo.

(22) Michigan 31, Illinois 14: Fitzgerald Toussaint ran for 192 yards and a score to lead the visiting Wolverines (8-2, 4-2 Big Ten) past the Illini (6-4, 2-4).

West Virginia 24, (23) Cincinnati 21: Geno Smith threw for 372 yards and led a fourth-quarter TD drive that rallied the Mountaineers (7-3, 3-2 Big East) past the Bearcats (7-2, 3-1) in Cincinnati.

(25) Southern Miss 30, Central Florida 29: Danny Hrapmann kicked five field goals and the Golden Eagles (9-1, 5-1 C-USA) held off the Knights (4-6, 2-4) in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Notre Dame 45, Maryland 21: Jonas Gary ran for a career-high 136 yards and two TDs and Tommy Rees passed for 296 yards and two scores as the Fighting Irish (7-3) whipped the Terrapins (2-8) in Landover, Md.

Purdue 26, Ohio State 23 (OT): Robert Marve’s 1-yard TD on a quarterback sneak in overtime gave the Boilermakers (5-5, 3-3 Big Ten) a win over the Buckeyes (6-4, 3-3) in West Lafayette, Ind.
