Meds shortage deplorable
Being held hostage! That’s what is occurring in regards to the medicine shortage currently existing in this country. The big drug companies apparently are more interested in their profits than meeting the needs of patients.
As a cancer survivor, I find this action deplorable. Meds for those in need ought to be available at a reasonable cost. Price-gouging via a decreased supply is not an option. A recent executive order by our president on this issue is appreciated, but it is time that our deadlocked Congress step up and become involved in a long-term solution to the problem.
My emails on this topic to 5th District Congressional District Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers have evidently fallen on deaf ears. Silence is not golden for this senior. Some kind of action needs to occur.
