Gunman robs bank in west Spokane

 

A masked gunman robbed a bank in west Spokane today.

The man demanded money from a teller at Chase Bank, 2215 W. Northwest Blvd., about 10:50 a.m. before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was seen walking southbound on Hemlock. Witnesses reported him driving away in a brown or tan, possibly late 70s or early 80s four-door sedan with a broken left rear window that was covered with cardboard and tape.

The robber is described as white, 5-foot-9, with a husky build, dark hair and 25 to 30 years.

    This has to be am. I don’t know of a single bank open at 10:50 pm.

    My Credit Union was Robbed… and a Safeway store on N.W. blvd was robbed by a guy with a knife…. 5 min plus or minus me being int the store…. what are we to do?….. some folks pursued the second mention…. so what happened today?? good thing some of us with “arms” and ‘permits” are not present when this happens… the “officers of the force” cannot and will not apparently protect us… so….. hang on here we go… could and may be a rocky winter…. john

    We drove by moments after the robbery. Police had the driveways all blocked off & wouldn’t let anyone near.
