Second-seeded Virginia, which will host Washington State (12-6-4) at 4 p.m. PST on Friday in the second round of the NCAA women’s soccer tournament, is ranked No. 8 nationally. A story in Sunday’s paper on the Cougars’ first-round win over Kentucky (13-7-1) mistakenly had the Cavaliers (15-4-2) ranked No. 2.

That story also had the WSU and Kentucky records wrong.
