Romney gains key backer

LEBANON, N.H. – New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie endorsed Mitt Romney for the GOP presidential nomination Tuesday. The endorsement was a surprise, coming just hours before a GOP presidential debate and just a week after Christie said he wouldn’t run for president in 2012.
