In brief: Free dump passes available Saturday

EMERSON/GARFIELD – The Emerson/Garfield Neighborhood Association will hand out free dump passes worth $20 for residents on Saturday at COPS North Central, 630 W. Shannon Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon.

A driver’s license or utility bill will be required to verify residence in the Emerson/Garfield neighborhood.

Five Mile area cleanup project will be Saturday

FIVE MILE – The Five Mile Neighborhood Association will have a fall cleanup day on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the north parking lot at Sky Prairie Park.

The event is for Five Mile neighborhood residents. Participants are required to bring proof of residency, such as a utility bill and identification.

Acceptable cleanup materials include household trash and clean green items only. No hazardous materials or recyclables will be accepted.

StageWest’s ‘Sleepy Hollow’ starts Friday

CHENEY – The StageWest Community Theatre of The West Plains, performing at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 639 Elm St., will feature “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” beginning Friday at 7 p.m.

Other performances include Oct. 21-23 and Oct. 28-30. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7 p.m. and Sunday performances are at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased at the Owl Pharmacy in Cheney and Medical Lake or at the door.
