Animal shelter needed

I really want to thank the county commissioners for putting Spokane County Measure No. 1 (for a regional animal protection shelter) on the November ballot. SCRAPS is a wonderful organization, but its shelter is 40 years old and deteriorating. Voting yes on Measure No. 1 will allow an existing building to be retrofitted to provide a safe and healthy living situation for our homeless pets while they wait to be adopted into loving homes.

We have been crying for a regional shelter for years and years. Voting yes will make the dream come true at a very reasonable cost.

The homeless critters really need our help. Say yes for a regional animal shelter.
