Support Sayler in CdA

George Sayler is running for Coeur d’Alene City Council, and if ever there was an individual more suited to represent everyone in the city, I don’t know who it is. He has been accused of being “establishment,” and if that means having lived in this community for 40 years and raising his family here, then he is established.

As a retired educator, highly thought of by former students, he has established a good reputation. He is a board member of both the Tubbs Hill Foundation and the Coeur d’Alene Audubon Society, established protectors of our natural world.

George will be a rational and reasonable voice guiding our community through needed changes. He does not have a personal agenda. That he cares about the people of our city and wants to work for their best interests by doing so through public service is a credit to his character. He has the courage to speak out in defense of a respectable salary for the hard-working public employees, our community’s middle class.

Changes to McEuen Field are a hotly contested issue at the present time. I believe George Sayler will make wise choices that benefit both the community and our visitors.
