Religion Notebook: Fall festival planned

Central United Methodist Church, 518 W. Third St., will hold a Community Fall Festival Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The festival offers a lunch of soup, salad bar, dessert and coffee or tea for $5, local crafts, baked goods, and a quilt raffle.

The proceeds will benefit the United Methodist Women mission projects.

Bazaars and sales

Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 1926 W. Chelan Ave., plans to hold its annual Fall Bazaar Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Items up for sale will be baked goods, white elephants, cutlery, quilts and more. There will also be a lunch of soup, sandwiches and pie available for purchase.

Prayer series

Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, 6910 S. Ben Burr Road, continues its Catechetical Evening of Prayer series Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The evening will begin with Mass, followed by dinner, two conferences, a Q-and-A session, time for reflection and a presentation by the Rev. Patrick Hartin on the sacrament of Holy Orders.

Movie night

Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church, 4449 N. Nevada Ave., will present the movie “Harvey” starring Jimmy Stewart Friday at 7 p.m.
