Rams rule out Bradford for Dallas game

Associated Press

The St. Louis Rams ruled out quarterback Sam Bradford for today’s game at Dallas.

Bradford has a high left ankle sprain and did not practice all week. He had been listed as questionable before Saturday, when the winless Rams also signed quarterback Tom Brandstater from the practice squad. Bradford was hurt near the end of last week’s loss at Green Bay.

Vikings’ Cook arrested

Police arrested Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook on domestic battery charges that could cause him to miss today’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

Eden Prairie (Minn.) police spokeswoman Katie Beal says the 24-year-old Cook was arrested without incident after someone called 911 around 2 a.m. Saturday to report hearing people across the street yelling and screaming.

Jets put Payne on IR

The New York Jets placed wide receiver Logan Payne on injured reserve and signed defensive tackle Martin Tevaseu from the practice squad.

Payne dislocated his left wrist during training camp and had surgery. He remained on the Jets’ active roster because the team hoped he could play at some point this season.

Raiders sign kicker

The Oakland Raiders signed kicker Dave Rayner in case Sebastian Janikowski’s hamstring injury keeps him from playing today against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Raiders waived defensive back Ron Parker to make room on the roster.

Janikowski missed practice Thursday and Friday and is officially listed as questionable.
