Fog burns off to show sunshine

Fog is dissipating this morning to reveal sunshine, but temperatures will be cooler today than on Sunday. Cooler air is moving into the region today and should bring the first widespread frost to the region tonight. Highs today are likely to get to the lower 50s with lows tonight near 30. The high on Sunday was 57. Sunshine should prevail throughout the week. Drier air will reduce the risk of morning fog after today. Temperatures will warm a few degrees by the end of the week when the chance of showers returns to the forecast. A freeze warning and a freeze watch were posted for tonight for portions of south-central Washington, including grape growing areas near Tri Cities. At 7 a.m., it was 35 at Spokane International Airport, 37 at Felts Field and 30 in Coeur d’Alene.
