More new chapters for Carter

Former President Jimmy Carter is authoring a pair of books for a Christian publisher.

In one book for Zondervan, Carter will share life lessons culled from more than three decades of teaching Sunday school classes in Plains, Ga., and Washington, D.C.

It will be titled “Through the Year with Jimmy Carter: 366 Daily Meditations from the 39th President” and released in January.

The second book, “New International Version Lessons from Life Bible: Personal Reflections with Jimmy Carter” will hit stores in March and be filled with Carter’s experiences and insights.

Zondervan also recently released a biography of Carter written for children. He has previously written 25 books.

Jay books Barack

President Barack Obama will be stopping by to see Jay Leno tonight.

This will be Obama’s fourth “Tonight Show” visit. He made two appearances as a presidential candidate and also in March 2009, shortly after taking office.

That made him the first sitting president ever to appear on the late-night show.

The real boss man

Fans of Clarence Clemons will get to hear the Big Man for the holidays.

Two Christmas songs recorded by the E Street Band saxophonist will be released Nov. 18. He sings “There’s Still Christmas” and also recorded a sax version of “The Christmas Song.”
