In brief: Annual ski swap is Friday to Sunday

MOUNT SPOKANE – The 47th annual Mount Spokane Ski Patrol Ski Swap will be Friday through Sunday at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, 404 N. Havana St.

Skiers can bring used gear to register for sale between 3 and 8 p.m. on Friday. The door opens for sales at 9 a.m. on Saturday through 5 p.m. and on Sunday skiers can shop from 9 a.m. to noon.

Admission is $5 and free for children 12 and younger.

Free dinner, groceries available

CHENEY – On Monday, Feed Cheney will provide a free, hot dinner at the Wren Pierson Community Center, 615 Fourth St., from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dinner is open to the public and no qualifying paperwork is required.

Groceries will be available for those in need to take home after Monday’s dinner. The Cheney Clothing Exchange clothing bank will also open before dinner at 5 p.m.
