In brief: SFCC Revelers performing ‘Dracula’ in November

WEST HILLS – The Spokane Falls Community College Revelers will perform “Dracula” beginning Nov. 10 in the Spartan Theater in the SFCC Communications Building 5, 3410 W. Fort George Wright Drive, at 7:30 p.m.

Additional performances will be Nov. 11-12 and Nov. 17-20 at 7:30 p.m.; Nov. 13 and 20 at 2 p.m. The Nov. 13 show will include a food bank benefit, where admission is by donation of nonperishable food items.

The Dracula cast includes Damon Abdallah as Dracula; Jeremy Lindholm as Dr. Van Helsing; and Dawn Hunter as Mina Murray.

Tickets are $8 at the door.

Chase Youth Award nominations sought

SPOKANE – The Chase Youth Commission is accepting nominations for the 2012 Chase Youth Awards.

The Chase Youth Awards highlight strengths of character valued by the community including community involvement, courage, creativity, diversity, leadership, environment and personal achievement.

The awards will be given to individuals and groups in three divisions, including elementary school, from grades K-6; middle school, including grades 7 and 8; and high school, grades 9-12. In addition, one outstanding adult will receive the Jim Chase Asset Builder Award, which honors a special adult committed to building developmental assets in youth.
