3Chocolate or plain milk: Mead, Coeur d’Alene and Spokane all came in about 60 percent chocolate and 40 percent plain. But in Central Valley, the breakdown was 80 percent chocolate and 20 percent plain.

7Popular spirit week activities: Crazy hair day, pajama day, alternate dress day (girls dress like boys and boys dress like girls).
8Favorite end-of-year activities: Talent show, field day, graduation ceremonies, prom.
9 Unusual volunteers: Reading Rovers and Molly the Dog – dogs who listen to children while they read.
10 Strangest lost-and- found items: Underwear, left shoes, an adult-size Captain America costume, a retainer, a 2-year-old with a ferret found roaming on an elementary school playground.
