Reinstated Oklahoma State receiver Michael Harrison was reinstated Friday, just three days after being ruled ineligible, and will be able to play tonight when the ninth-ranked Cowboys face Louisiana-Lafayette in Stillwater, Okla. Declared Cornerback John Flanders, who sealed Tulsa’s win at Notre Dame last season with a last-minute interception in the end zone, has been declared academically ineligible this season. He is seeking a waiver and hopes to redshirt.

Died Team officials say Janelle Tongaonevai, the wife of University of Utah defensive lineman Ron Tongaonevai, was killed in a car accident about 90 minutes after the Utes’ football game against Montana State in Salt Lake City.

Hospitalized Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Lee Roy Selmon has been hospitalized in Tampa, Fla. Selmon, drafted by the Buccaneers in 1976, went to six straight Pro Bowls and was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1979.

Indicted Former NFL wide receiver Andre Rison has been indicted by a federal grand jury in a child-support case in Phoenix. The indictment accuses Rison, 44, of failing to pay more than $10,000 between August 2008 and last month.

Enrolled Star recruit Andre Drummond enrolled at Connecticut and been added to the roster of the men’s basketball team. The school has not said where Drummond’s scholarship will come from. The Huskies have none available after losing three due to NCAA rules violations.

Sentenced Former NBA player and Michigan State star Jay Vincent was sentenced in Lansing, Mich., to more than five years in prison and ordered to pay more than $110,000 to the Internal Revenue Service for his part in a fraud case involving thousands of people.

Scheduled The civil trial over the multimillion- dollar estate of late boxer Arturo Gatti will proceed Tuesday despite the impending release of the results of a private investigation into his death. A Quebec judge presiding over the case denied a delay requested by Gatti’s family.

Signed Houston Rockets second-round draft pick Chandler Parsons signed a two-month contract with the French team Cholet.
