Post Falls woman dies in one-car I90 crash

A 21-year-old Post Falls woman died this morning after rolling her car on Interstate 90 in Coeur d’Alene.

Brittany Chapman was eastbound on the freeway about 1 a.m. near the 4th Street exit, according to the Idaho State Police. She apparently lost control of her 2002 Mazda Protege, left the roadway and overturned at milepost 12.5, ISP said in a news release.

Chapman was taken to Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, where she died this morning, ISP said.

She was not wearing a seatbelt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
