GOP fattened the rich

Consider the following:

1. The low- and middle-income families spend all or nearly all of the money that they get on the basic goods and services that drive the economy.

2. The rich families spend relatively little of their money on such items.

3. Over the past 30 years, the government has driven a massive transfer of wealth (money) to the super-rich via tax favoritism.

Therefore: The obvious solution to the current economic problems we have is to reverse the transfer of wealth and get much of the money back in the hands of the low- and middle-income families so that it will be spent in the economy, thereby increasing demand and jobs.

The Republicans have succeeded immensely with their 1980 program to run the accumulated deficit up so high that we can’t afford Social Security and other social welfare programs, but still have to have the super-rich and corporate welfare untouched. And to get all the money in the country to the super-rich.

As long as this remains untouched, the economy can never recover.
