Grizzly shooting justified

In response to Rich Landers’ “Time will tell if Hill needed to shoot grizzly,” I find many of Landers’ comments to be unnecessary and asinine.

Calling the support at Hill’s trial “good political theater” is hurtful and untrue. The support of Sen. Shawn Keough and Gov. Butch Otter is justified and accompanied by Boundary County commissioners and Idaho Fish and Wildlife, who recommended that charges not be brought.

Landers states that “Shooting a grizzly bear is serious business” and certainly not something Jeremy took lightly. All of us here in North Idaho know the repercussions of shooting an endangered species, but I think the lives of Jeremy’s children were a little more serious.
