In brief: Post Falls woman dies in I-90 crash

A 21-year-old Post Falls woman died Saturday morning after rolling her car on Interstate 90 in Coeur d’Alene.

Brittany Chapman was eastbound on the freeway about 1 a.m. near the Fourth Street exit, according to the Idaho State Police. She apparently lost control of her 2002 Mazda Protege, left the roadway and overturned at milepost 12.5, the ISP said in a news release.

Chapman was taken to Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, where she died later that morning, the ISP said.

She was not wearing a seat belt.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
