September 11 Events - 5:46 a.m. (PST) Spokane Valley Fire Department will place a beam from the World Trade Center in front of the new Fire Station No. 8 at 2110 N. Wilbur Road, Spokane Valley, (509) 891-8659. This was the exact time the first tower was hit. 1:30 p.m., a Patriot’s Day Memorial Ceremony inside the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center during the Interstate Fair, 404 N. Havana St., which will conclude in the grandstands for the memorial ceremony. Police, fire and military personnel with proper ID will be admitted free to the fair that day, and there will be no charge to enter the grandstands at 1:30 p.m. for the memorial ceremony.
