The heat is on: Six days of 90-plus weather

Well, at least your tomato plants will like the next week of weather. After today, the Inland Northwest is due to bake in the 90s for at least six straight days. Coeur d’Alene, which is expected to be a little hotter than Spokane, will reach the mid-90s Wednesday through Monday, according to this morning’s forecast by the National Weather Service. Today will be 87 in Spokane, 89 in Coeur d’Alene. Saturday is shaping up to be the hottest day this week: 95 in Spokane, 96 in Coeur d’Alene. Overnight lows will be in the high 50s to low 60s into the weekend.
