Non-Indians can be cited for infractions
Non-Indians currently can be cited for boating violations on tribal waters on Lake Coeur d’Alene. If tribal police are federalized, those citations would be backed by federal courts rather than state or tribal courts. Because of an editing error, the first part of an article on page A1 in Monday’s edition of The Spokesman-Review was unclear.
