Padden earns vote

During my 44 years in the Spokane Valley, I have come to know Mike Padden on a close, personal basis.

In his 14-year stint in the Washington Legislature, Mike earned the reputation as a common sense, voice of reason that was respected on both sides of the aisle.

After the Legislature, Mike continued his legacy of honesty and integrity during his service as a Spokane District Court judge.

Mike and his wife, Laura, have raised five sons in their modest home in their Valley neighborhood. I have had many conversations with Mike about the educating and raising of young men, and I believe that Mike understands the challenges facing families in Eastern Washington.

Another area of passion in Mike’s life is his love of baseball. Through his leadership and work with the Spokane American Legion Baseball organization, more young men than ever before have had the opportunity to play the game.

I feel that Mike Padden would be a great senator. He’s a handshake guy who can be trusted. He’s a hard worker who will be the first to show up and the last to leave on any important effort that will impact his constituents.
